UCC awarded NCCN General Secretary Dr. Rokaya
Monday 02nd of July 2007 [ ??????, ???? १८, २०६४ ]

NCCN General Secretary Dr. Rokaya was awarded by United Church of Christ, USA (UCC) for his exemplary work of uniting the Churches in Nepal, playing good role in peace process of Nepal, initiating interfaith cooperation for communal harmony and challenging religious communities to raise their concern over the conflict faced by the nation.

 

As a renowned human rights activist and a Christian leader, Dr. Rokaya has been making frequent visit of Norway, Germany, Finland, USA, UK, Switzerland and many other countries to campaign for the peace process in Nepal.  

 

Acknowledging his efforts for uniting the Churches in Nepal and encouraging them to be actively involved in different issues being faced by the nation and initiating interfaith activities in Nepal, Dr. Rokaya was invited by UCC, USA to participate on its General Assembly as a special observer.

 

While his stay in USA, Dr. Rokaya will be participating in different meetings and campaign for the peace process in Nepal.

 

On this occasion we would like to express our heartfelt thanks to our prayer partners, supporters, co-workers and our wellwishers for their continuous prayer and support to the work of NCCN.

  

 A joint award of The Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) and the United Church of Christ (UCC), two major Church Denominations in USA, provided to NCCN General Secretary Dr. K.B. Rokaya for his role of uniting Churches in Nepal and leading them to work for peace, justice and equitable society
